Your data
Keep it safe

Back up

Your planner lives only on this device. A backup is a small file you keep somewhere safe.

The transfer code is the same backup as text. Paste it into a note, an email to yourself or a message. For a very full planner, use the backup file instead.

Restore or move to another device

  1. On this device, save or send a backup, or copy the transfer code.
  2. Open Vika on the other device.
  3. Come to Your data there and restore below.

Restoring replaces the planner on this device.

Meetings from your calendar

Export your calendar as an .ics file and import it here. Vika copies the meetings once. It doesn't connect to your calendar account, so import again when your calendar changes.

How to never lose your planner

Add it to your home screen

iPhone: in Safari, tap ⋯ next to the address bar, then Share › Add to Home Screen. Keep Open as Web App on and tap Add.
Android: in Chrome, tap ⋮ › Add to home screen (or Install app) › Install.

On iPhone this matters: Safari can clear website data you haven't opened for 7 days. Home screen apps are kept.

Choose one main device

Your phone and computer don't sync. Plan on one device, and move a backup when you switch.

Back up once a month

Save a backup file or copy the transfer code at the start of each month. Vika reminds you after 30 days.

Avoid private browsing

Private and incognito windows forget everything when you close them.

Before you clear your browser

Clearing history or website data deletes your planner. Make a backup first.

About
Vika
Daily planner, made in Norway.

What it is

Vika answers one question every morning: does everything I want to do today actually fit? It counts your free time after meetings and tasks, and tells you when a day is overbooked before it happens.

It's made for people who want a clear day without a subscription, an account or a complicated system.

How it works

Collect everything you want to do
Give tasks a day and see what fits
Pick three that matter and plan the hours
See what you get done and where time goes

Your privacy

There's no account and no tracking. Your plans never leave your device. Calendar files are read on this device, and nothing is sent to us or anyone else.

Who made it

Vika is designed in Oslo, Norway by ScandinavianNO, a small studio making simple, useful tools for everyday life.

Questions or ideas? Send us a message through our Etsy shop. We read every one.

Import your calendar

Export your calendar as an .ics file, then choose it here.

  • Google Calendar (on a computer): Settings › Import & export › Export. Unzip the file you get.
  • Apple Calendar (Mac): select the calendar › File › Export › Export.
  • Outlook: File › Save Calendar.

The file is read on this device. Vika copies the meetings once and doesn't connect to your calendar.
